Took the E Lit retest for Paper 1 today. 'Twas nice to see (almost) everyone again, after such a long time xD And the paper.. wasn't too bad, I guess, except I said the same thing about the promos paper -__-;

Oh and - MY INTERNET'S FIXED HAHAHA. My dad went to the PC fair today to buy.. a wireless router and some stuff that he thinks is cool (and better cos it was bought in the PC fair, which means there's DISCOUNTS!!1!1), but I think they may be a bit useless or unnecessary, but ah well. We nearly wanted to name our wireless network Poker Face, Tissue Paper, Socks, etc. xD

My dad was funny, in the ENTJ Boss-like way. "Don't put [Poker Face]. Later [the neighbours] think we're into gambling or something.." LOL. And while prodding the new router he kept repeating, "Can you believe this stupid small router is much faster than that fat old thing? Can't believe it right?" And at the loading page while setting up the router (it was an image of a plug being pushed into the power switch thing), he kept going, "Why is [the plug] coming out?!" I had to keep reminding him that that's just an image that will keep looping, they're not plugging out the plug. -___-;

Just dl-ed some Korean songs (Lee) Si Min has been spamming me with these few weeks. LOL. They're quite addictive and I can see myself getting into their fandoms, but not now.. I guess academic stuff really affects me too much. Maybe after school ends this year I might get into it. Although to be honest I doubt I will, cos I'm an oldie-lover at heart. -_-;

Whoo it's the September hols! The only thing I'll like about it is being able to sleep as late as I want, though. =/

Gotta get back to KI notes >_<; I've been spending too much time on them.

Got tired of the old layout, so I changed it! (There was supposed to be some symbolism in the trees pic, but seeing it everyday gets wearisome after all.) Don't really like some parts of it, but ah well it's still pretty. And changed some icons too. I'm using 1-2 icons in my writing journal as well, but since I hardly update there it doesn't really matter.

...Well actually April did most of the coding work - Si Min and I just wrote the storyboard. In the end I think I'll be the most laziest member, cos Si Min has her 1337 photoshop skills >__<; Sigh. (Sorry Captain!!)

At least we'll be able to go home in less than 10 hours. Whee.

Si Min and I went on some mad eating + singing spree earlier, leaving our fearless Captain to handle the computing part. haha why am I talking like this. i think my brain is slowly dying. ah.

ok I'll go back to (attempt) finishing the E Lit homework. I have no idea what happened to KI. Sigh.

Raa I finished my notes for the Theory of Knowledge sections that I think will be tested. Mr Tan did say the 'Reality/Anti-Reality' part won't be tested, so I didn't cover that. My notes on Microsoft Word are a total of 27 pages, but not really, since I added links to other websites and previously-typed assignments that cover the Theory too. Was too lazy to transfer the info in, haha.

I was thinking of doing notes for Scientific Knowledge as well, but since I haven't read through most of the hand-outs it'd take up too much time. I guess I'll just have to cope with it by reading through everything. Same with the Critical Thinking section. I'll study the Essay Format part tonight =/



Piano exam this Thursday! I don't want to fail it.. But I'm afraid I'll lose out at the sight-reading part. I always screw up there. And the chromatic scales! For some reason my left hand aches when I play them, and I end up speeding up/slowing down so the hands can't coordinate well. Raa. My internal test results were 2 marks away from a Merit. I'd like at least a Merit.. Especially when this isn't even a difficult grade raa.

Shall work hard for my piano after KI!! And study for the Jap CA2 too! =/

It's great that at least there's Home-Based Learning for Senior High students this week - more time for me to study! =D And procrastinate... I WANT TO PROCRASTINATE but gahh this is important. Though it didn't stop me from re-reading HP fics in an effort to stay awake while doing KI notes last night. xD

I was screaming with joy (albeit too hysterically) when I read Mr Sng's letter about the home learning for Senior High students. xD It's just three days, but bah it resolves problems like getting to my piano exam on time, etc.

My aunt and cousin from San Luis Obispo, California are coming to Singapore on the 8th! They'll be staying for about six days before going to, of all places, Bali. My family's worried about their health, especially during this H1N1 crisis, but from what I heard from my mom, my aunt insists that it's okay. Now my family's got a problem trying to arrange a date to meet them, because we're all busy next week..


Shall go arrange my study schedule. And try not to fall asleep before 11 again. (Is it just fatigue or is it bad sleeping habits? =/)

Taking a break from making E Lit notes. =/ I've still got a loooong way to go..

Anyway, LOL I just saw Nicholas's forwarded SMS. "You may log on to CNA Singapore and vote for extend holidays due to h1n1 virus."

The results of the poll look promising. :D But I couldn't vote somehow, apparently someone in my region already voted. o.O;

For those interested, vote for it too!! Haha. Though I won't mind having lessons online. Imagine taking our common tests online! With MCQ questions. LOL.

Everything's happening too fast!!

I'm playing in Funan tomorrow. In some concert with this Video Game pianist called Martin Leung, but what I'm most worried about is the dress code. Someone from Cristofori called me earlier, and she said the dress code is formal, and no slippers! I don't think that white pair I wore on Monday can be considered formal either.. Nonono this is bad. I could wear court shoes, but that would be so weird! D: Andand I have to wear something formal too. I'm thinking of that brownish lump of shirt+skirt I wore during the International Friendship Day performance with the JCC, sine I don't even have a dress to wear -__-;

I would worry about performing live in front of an audience, but heh I didn't give too much info for my background so hopefully no one I know will be there. So no one will see when I screw up >_<; But now I'm worried mostly for the dress code. nooooooooo this is bad.



It's nice to see my parents so completely unconcerned about this though. Really brings up the mood. Optimistically, I think they just don't want to see me fail. That, or the more probable one is that they don't care. Seems more likely since the only thing my dad was concerned about was what time I'd get home.



On a more optimistic side, the JCC karaoke outing was awesome. We were originally intending to stay there for 3 hours, but somehow the karaoke people forgot our existence and we sang for about 5 and a half hours. :D After the karaoke, I learnt that many people have good singing voices and I'm simply not meant to be one of them. Either that, or I should try singing opera, like what everyone suggested -__-; Seriously, I wish I had a voice that sounds good while singing normal songs.

After it ended, I made a last-minute decision (after worrying over it) to go for the SILS outing, and wow I really miss them. 6 months without seeing each other D: They really look the same, and they're as cute as ever! Yuen Wai the obaasan, Liang Kee the cool bijin, Yvonne the awesome and cute older-sister-type and Vera who's as short as always xD speaking of which I miss Siew Yee, where are you! D: Jesmine and Yvonne even went on a zi-pai streak LOL.

Had MS meeting today. While waiting for people to come, I started doing my mugging schedule, and almost everyone went, "You'll fail." when they saw it. Somehow they found it amusing too. o.O Jun Hao wanted to start comparing homework too lol -_-; And the meeting lasted till 11+am, and while waiting for Jun Hao to officially announce that the meeting ended (he went off answering a phone call before we could verify), me and Wei Cheng watched Shu Ting play Hearts on Nicholas's laptop, and then try WoW for the first time. LOL it was amusing since Wei Cheng typed in a cheat code for her to win the game.

Btw Si Min I collected the receipts! (and oops sorry for not replying your lj - will do so after this!)

Just sent in my oral presentation script to Endo-sensei. Didn't check for extra mistakes, but ah well.. =/ I'm just glad I managed to send it by today, though I won't be surprised if sensei asks me to rewrite it for its ambiguous topic xD;

Almost finishing the GP paper too! I still have the last question to finish, but I'm too tired to think through it. Will probably finish it by tonight.

Tomorrow I'm going to school for JCC, but I'll be there from 8 onwards. Taking my dad's car because I'm too lazy to take public transport, especially when it'll be crowded.. Plus I want to study Maths before the JCC meeting starts. Haven't even started mugging yet, been too busy with homework due this week. >__<

On Friday I'll be rushing the KI paper, and then I'll send the homework to Mr Tan. I can't get any work done on Saturday due to the Python course, but I'll start on my Jap compo due on Sunday. I was planning to study Maths while waiting with Si Min on Sunday, especially when there'll be people who're good in Maths to help me, but I need to do my Jap compo too.. =/

Sorry for not commenting on my flist's posts! Too many things going on in RL recently. >_< We just finished a band concert, SYF was about a month ago, and in between there's been a lot of commitments and deadlines, tests and homework.

The June holidays started about one week ago, but we're supposed to use this time to study for our common tests (CTs) that will begin on the very first day of Term 3. But raa, I'm stuck on one of my homework so I'm slacking off here heh. I actually planned a study+homework schedule for this week, but I don't think I'll end up following it anyway.. Argh.

I'll try to post more in my LJ.. though I think I should really just declare an indefinite hiatus at this rate.



I'm thinking of revamping my LJ layout and icons. Shall start on icons first. Still trying to decide whether I should use a Hetalia layout XD The FO and profile banners are tempting too...



Sorry Si Min but I think I'll be giving up on Altador for a while. D:

Finally, I have internet!! But more importantly, I HAVE A NEW LAPTOP. Or rather, a notebook. My dad bought it yesterday from the Computer Fair, to replace the desktop PC that fried -_-;

The new notebook is gorgeous. And Windows Vista is love! After agonizing over the problem of no internet for hours, I finally have it. <3 Yayy. Having no internet for 3-4 days is distressing. =/ Now I still need to solve the problem of the Microsoft Office 2007 and its trial versions. grah.

I want to continue surfing my internet, but gotta leave soon, for this JASSO Seminar thing. Now I'm waiting for my dad to come home with our lunches. Should go change now.

My CPU couldn't work. And after attempting to save it, I think I kind of fried it. By 'attempting to save it', I mean fiddling with the buttons on the CPU and hoping one of them would cure the problem. It's worked many times before. D:

Okay, real life stuff. I remember being really nervous on Friday while we were waiting for our school's A level results to come out. Si Hui, Si Min and I actually ran down to the auditorium in the middle of KI, only to realise the results weren't released publically yet.. And I had to leave early before I could go check the boards for the results and stuff D: But anyway, just like everyone else I'm proud of our seniors! ♥ They really did our school proud.

One week to the end of term 1 for school, but there's still quite a lot of things to settle. And I won't be free in the term break either.. I think it's really time to make a hiatus post. Shall do one when the break starts.

Randomly, Duet scans for April are just awesome. |D Yuto and Keito guhh. and Inoo! Ryutaro and Daiki's pics kind of made me laugh though xD;

Also, I'm contemplating if putting all the recently made Hetalia colorbars on my profile would be too much. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT, they're just socute D:

Once again, I feel the urge to create something. Make music, write, draw.. anything that I can get my hands on and make something, create something, I just want to do it. It makes me feel restless. It's distracting - I can't do my homework without feeling the urge to draw in my long-abandoned sketchbook, and I don't because my drawings suck. Maybe I'll write. I dunno. Sigh.

Having a thunderstorm right in my neighbourhood. The thunder was quite frightening at first, but now there's no lightning so it's not that scary.

Went for my cousin's wedding last night, in some hotel at some place. Can't remember the name, haha. I wish I hadn't been wearing such an 'office lady' kind of outfit. The whole event itself was rather boring actually. There was the bride's brother's band playing while we ate, and a slide-show of the afternoon's events (the wedding at the cathedral or something? Which my family didn't go for, haha). Ah, but the dessert was good - they served it buffet-style so there was a whole array of delicious sweets and cakes for us. <3 There was even a chocolate fountain!! <33

My cousin is a good man. That's why he got snatched up so early!!1 Haha but he was so sincere in his speech and all. The good guys always get married first D:

Didn't go for the CIP today, Sharon and I decided to change our timings to next week. There's the Maths test to study for, and the revision worksheet to finish. I need a Maths assessment book.

Don't think I can finish the Darwin essay by tomorrow/Tuesday, I haven't even started on it yet. But since it's not compulsory (I think?) then I don't have to do it I guess.

New resolution of this year and the next: Do not collapse onto bed and fall asleep early on weekdays. No matter if there was PE or if I came home late. Work needs to be worked on and mugging needs to.. be mugged. Yes.

Why is there another round?! Yes I'm glad that I have one more chance, and I am really looking forward to it. But more importantly, WHY IS IT ON WEDNESDAY AGAIN?! OMG WHYYYYY.

Three hours of free periods tomorrow. Need to finish Maths homework and do some notes. Sigh. I really need to buck up and start mugging.

On a random note, I am losing self-confidence rapidly. People and personal matters. Heh. I need to rectify this somehow, before it affects my studies further.

Am considering joining. Haha Si Min I'm still looking over your email. But if I get into the Pre-U Seminar (which is a really, really, REALLY big 'if'), I'm not sure if I'll have the time to join. We'll see how things go after Wednesday? (:
